Who they are: Carter's Play Place is an adaptive indoor playground located in Westfield, Indiana, dedicated to fostering inclusive play for children of all abilities. Founded by Adam Meents and his partners, the inspiration behind the facility comes from Adam's son, Carter, who has Autism; their vision was to create a welcoming space where every child feels included. In 2019, LEL Home Services acquired Carter's Play Place and, during the pandemic, expanded the facility to include features like three themed party rooms, a two-story play structure, a foam pit, a trampoline, and a zipline.
What they do: At Carter's Play Place, the mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where children can freely learn, play, and connect. The facility offers a variety of adaptive play equipment and sensory activities designed to engage all children. In addition to open play sessions, Carter's hosts birthday parties and events, ensuring an enjoyable experience for both kids and their families.
